Business software for operations-heavy companies
Your business has outgrown
the software it runs on.
Quotes live in a spreadsheet. Jobs run on a desktop program from another decade. The vendor takes months to make a change and charges for every one. The person who knows how it all fits together is the only one who dares touch it.
Zignet builds and runs business software that changes as fast as your business does, at a cost a mid-sized company can justify.
Three reasons businesses come to us.
Each one has a fix that does not mean starting again, and does not mean betting the business on it.
Stuck on legacy software
The system works, until you need it to change. Every report is a favour. The one person who understands it is close to leaving.
What we do
We move you to a modern web system that keeps your history, module by module, with no big-bang cutover.
Modernisation and integrationCustom software is too slow and too expensive
The quote came back in the hundreds of thousands. It would be months before you saw anything, then a maintenance bill every year after.
What we do
A small team plus an AI engineering team ships working software in weeks, and keeps shipping after launch.
Product developmentYou want AI in your development, and cannot risk it in production
Your developers are already experimenting. Nothing is governed, nothing is reviewed the same way twice, and nobody wants to be the one who shipped the mistake.
What we do
We set your team up with roles, guardrails, review gates and a release process that a person approves.
AI engineering enablement
BLAQ. One industry's version of this problem, fixed.
Our own legacy job-management system for print, signage and display businesses could not be moved forward. BLAQ is its ground-up rewrite, extended to what every customer needed, built and run by our AI team under a human lead.
Print, signage and display businesses were running on a legacy job-management system that could not be changed, and that system was ours. Around it: spreadsheets, email and the same order keyed into three places. Nobody had a live view of the floor. Month-end meant a day of assembling reports by hand.
So we rewrote it from the ground up and extended it to what every customer needed. One platform from quote to invoice: production boards, pack and ship, deliveries, installation, campaigns, CRM, purchasing and stock, accounting integration, a customer portal, and a mobile app for the floor and the site.
It is in production today, running several companies from one codebase, with new releases going out continuously.

A real engineering team, most of it AI, all of it governed.
Speed is easy to buy and easy to regret. What makes our software safe to run a business on is the discipline around the team: one owner per area, rules the system enforces, a review before every release, and a person who says yes.

dev, staging, production
Every change takes the same road to production.
A person approves the plan, tries it on staging and approves the release. Code review gates sit in front of staging and production. Nothing skips a stage, so nothing reaches your staff that has not been checked.
This is how we keep speed from turning into mistakes in your business. Eight rules, enforced by the system, with a person in charge.
Roles, not generalists
Each part of your product is owned by one specialist agent that knows its rules and its gotchas: backend, frontend, workflow, shipping, reporting, integrations, mobile and more. A fixed ownership table routes every task, so the work on your quoting screen is done by the role that knows quoting.
Onboarding briefs
Every agent has a written brief: what it owns, the rules of its area, the mistakes previous members made. New hires read the handbook. So do agents. A lesson is paid for once and kept.
Guardrails enforced by the system
Automated hooks stop risky actions before they happen. No direct deploys. No skipped tests. No secrets in code. No branch clobbering. Agents work faster than people and never tire, so the rails are what keep that speed from reaching your business as a mistake.
Process with no exceptions
Feature branches, pull requests, CI. A code review before staging and another before production. Tests shipped with every change. A human approval for every release. What reaches your staff has been checked the same way every time.
Handovers and memory
People go on leave. Agents run out of context. Both need written handovers. Every session ends with notes, and lessons learned are written back into the briefs, so the team gets smarter and your product never depends on one person's memory.
Scoped access
Connectors are the badge and the keycard. Read-only where read-only is enough. Writes confirmed. Deletes impossible. Your live data is never one wrong command away from damage.
One build, one deployer
Specialists change code only. A single release role is the only one allowed to touch a server, and it moves only when a person says yes. Nothing reaches your production system by accident.
A human leads
Direction, release approval and production judgement stay with a person. The AI team proposes and executes. It does not decide to ship. Someone is accountable for what runs your business, and that someone is a person.
Three ways to work with us.
Product development
You need software that does not exist off the shelf, and the quotes you have had are more than a mid-sized business can justify.
We build and run it with our AI engineering team under one human lead: specification, build, release and operation.
DetailsAI engineering enablement
Your developers want AI in their work. You do not want it loose in production.
We set your team up to work the way we do: roles, briefs, guardrails, review gates and a release process a person approves.
DetailsModernisation and integration
Your core system is old, tied to one vendor and cannot talk to anything, and a big-bang replacement is a risk you cannot take.
Legacy desktop systems to the web, module by module, with the history intact and Xero, Stripe and Make.com wired in.
